Meet the team 

Eric holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Northern Michigan University (1994), a Masters in Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (2007) and a Doctor of Ministry from Biola University (2021).  Eric has been ordained in the EPC since 2010 and has served four churches as either pastor, stated supply pastor or transitional pastor. Eric is married to Amy, and they have three daughters,  one son and two grandsons. 

Ethan Barnett was born and raised in Lenoir. While ministering at a summer camp in East Tennessee he met his wonderful wife Jessica, before returning to Lenoir. Since then the Lord has blessed them with two beautiful daughters and a terrier named Melon (the elvish word for "friend"). Ethan loves one-on-one conversations (especially with the youth of LPC), talking about theology, reading fantasy, playing (often obscure) video and board games, and looking at I Spy books with his daughters! He is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity from The Flourish Institute of Theology. 

Melanie is from Greensboro, NC and married Lenoir native, Jon. She has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Meredith College and a Masters in Accounting from UNC Chapel Hill. She taught high school math for several years and also practiced as a CPA. She has two children and enjoys going to concerts and spending quiet time on the beach with family and friends.

Justin grew up in Lenoir. He is married to Jamie and has one son. He enjoys wood working and graphic design. He is the co-owner of In The Park Events.

Kori is from Kannapolis, NC.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University and has worked in public education as a teacher and volunteer. She is married to Max, and they have two sons and one daughter.
She has a passion for the local congregation’s role in supporting parents in making young disciples of Jesus Christ.

Nora was born and raised in Lenoir. At Lenoir-Rhyne College she double majored in Accounting and Organ. She has practiced as a CPA. She came to LPC in 2015 as the organist. She is married to her husband, "J", and has two children. Nora's prayer for church services is that God will use our music to draw people into a conscious awareness of His presence with us that we might worship HIM rightly. Nora enjoys long coffee chats, taking leisurely walks and visiting her grandbaby. 

Terry is from Bethlehem, NC and earned a Bachelor's of Music Education from Western Carolina University. He has been a band director for 30 years, of which 21 years has been at William Lenoir Middle School where the band has consistently received Superior ratings. He is married to Carla and has three children. He loves playing 80's metal in a cover band named Sunset Strip.

Jim is currently the band director at West Caldwell High School, and has performed with numerous choral and instrumental groups in the region.  He is married to Reeves Shulstad, who is a professor of music at the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University.
